Background and recent updates
Stefan Buba, 26, is a filmmaker based in Indianapolis. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University where he majored in Media and minored in Spanish. Throughout his time as a filmmaker, he's worked with PBS, BBC Studios, The Associated Press, TJ Maxx, Hellmann's, Obvi, Skull Bliss, and Kinder. He's won three notable awards: 'Best Documentary Short' at the Bloomington International Film Festival, 'Best Documentary' at City Visions Film Festival, and 'First Feature' Remi Winner at WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.
His mission as a filmmaker is to create films that not only make a person feel, but to inspire them to take action, open new perspectives, and create beautiful works of their own. He wishes to seek discomfort and be creative in ways that haven't been done before. He craves the drive to meet deadlines, satisfy clients, achieve goals, and to always get up when he gets knocked down.

At PBS, Stefan acted as a Video Production Associate where he assisted the Director of Photography on shoots in the field, as well as helped plan, produce, and edit the PBS series, ‘Journey Indiana.’

At The Associated Press, his role was a Research Videographer and Editor for Indiana University. He was responsible for planning, filming, editing, and publishing newsworthy videos that were used by news outlets like Fox, ABC, and CBS .
